Top 10 reasons to visit Gilpin
We have held 3 AA rosettes for our food since 1997, and specialise in fine dining without any of that pretentious stuffiness. Everything is sourced, prepared and served with a great deal of thought and care, with good quality ingredients and lots of fresh local produce - organic where possible.
When you stay at Gilpin, you’re not just choosing a bedroom, you’re choosing an interior design with fabulous fabrics, wallpapers and furnishings. We have evolved Gilpin Hotel over the last 25 years, spreading out instead of up, so that fourteen of the twenty bedrooms lead directly onto the gardens, many with private decking and cedarwood hot tubs, and all with lovely views. Gilpin Lake House is, put simply, a sanctuary, where just six suites enjoy exclusive access to 100 acres of private grounds, including a stunningly beautiful four-acre private lake and the new Jetty Spa.
Each of the Garden Suites has its own garden complete with cedarwood hot tub. Relax by your fire, listen to music, stroll out into your garden and sink into your hot tub, with surrounding ponds and water features made from traditional Lakeland stone. As dusk falls, enjoy the evening light and natural features – winter or summer, as they are used all year round.
We have some amazing packages involving our spa and hot tubs. With no business, weddings or young children, where better for a spot of luxurious relaxation and romance?
Our Magic Moments packages are perfect for luxurious, romantic occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, minimoons, babymoons and proposals). Choose a Junior Suite, Garden Suite or the Lake House and then discover the fabulous packages we have put together for you…
