Begin your four night stay on 23 December 2012 with a warm welcome and afternoon tea by the fire, followed by a delicious dinner in the Lake House conservatory. On Christmas Eve enjoy a spoiling lunch with Gilpin Hotel’s guests on a lovely boat across Lake Windermere. The delectable Christmas Day Feast begins with a celebratory Champagne reception and a visit from Father Christmas. On Boxing Day a wintry walk with the guests staying at the main hotel ends with a warming lunch in the grounds.
If you prefer not to join the activities, days may be spent enjoying frosty walks through the stunning Lake District, relaxing in the Lake House’s private heated indoor swimming pool, sipping mulled wine in the oversized hot tub with views across the lake, and enjoying spa treatments in the fabulopus spa overlooking the lake (pre booking essential!). On Tuesday 23rd December, arrive to a festive afternoon tea followed by either a five-course dinner or a more relaxed supper if you wish.
On Christmas Eve there is a splendid lunch outing on Lake Windermere with the residents of the main hotel (including transfers to and from the lake), with dinner served in the evening at the Lake House (five-courses or a more relaxed supper, whichever you prefer.
On Christmas Day ‘The Christmas Day Feast’ starts with a Champagne reception, a visit from Santa and the Christmas Fairy, and the feast proceeds at a leisurely pace throughout the afternoon with a light supper later.
On Boxing Day we invite you to join us on a wintry walk with the rest of the hotel guests, followed by a warming lunch in the Lake House grounds. A little later, a light afternoon tea will be served for your guests. In the evening once again you can choose to have either a five-courses or a more relaxed supper at the Lake House.
Breakfast each day can be served in the conservatory, or if your party prefers to start the day in a more relaxed fashion, perhaps breakfast in bed?
