The Classic Rooms
Classic Rooms are our most modest rooms by size, approximately 20 m2, but they are still very comfortable, and each still has room for one or two armchairs or a sofa. Whilst we distinguish these rooms by size, the same love and attention is given to all rooms in the quality of the furnishing and fabrics, and all have beautiful bathrooms, these with combined baths and showers.
At the far end of the east wing, Crook is saturated in light having large windows to the south overlooking the south gardens and also to the north where there is both a window overlooking the east gardens, and also a door leading out onto these gardens. It also has a small dressing area leading to a lovely bathroom with a beautiful original fireplace.

Crosthwaite is dominated by two stunning eight-foot long bay windows, overlooking the east garden, and bathing the room in light. A small seating area in one of the bays provides a perfect spot to read.
Interior Design – Clean and light country look with shades of white, grey and lime green. Fabrics from Fox Linton, Zoffany, Fadini Borghi, Marvic and Jim Thompson. Textura hand-printed wallpaper and curtains from Manuel Canova in glazed cotton. Furniture hand-made in quil grey with pewter handles.
Rydal is rather unique in that whilst it is a Classic Room, it is located in the Junior Suite wing and therefore has direct access to the east gardens from the sitting area through patio doors. From the bedroom, step down to the lovely bathroom.
