WE’RE ON HAIRY BIKERS TONIGHT!
Hrishikesh (and Gilpin) feature in episode 3 of Hairy Bikers Go North, airing tonight as part of The Hairy Bikers’ love letter to the north, a celebration of the food and the people that produce it.
This 8-episode series sees the infamous duo Si and Dave returning to their Northern roots, travelling from the west coast to the east, discovering the innovative people who are revolutionising the British food scene. Each week will see them in a different location, exploring the changing area through restaurants, recipes and inventive new food entrepreneurs.

EXECUTIVE CHEF HRISHIKESH DESAI

Hrishikesh joined Gilpin in March 2015, moving to the Lake District with his wife and daughter. Winner of Alex Polizzi’s BBC2 Chefs on Trial, his background includes Institute Paul Bocuse, Les Maison de Bricourt, Le Chateau de Bagnol, French Laundry, and Lucknam Park. He is one of a few chefs to have won both the Roux Scholarship and the Craft Guild of Chef’s National Chef of the Year, unique in winning these in consecutive years.
