At Gilpin we have two hotels on two separate estates, but one team, so your time with us, wherever you are, should be seamless. Choose between a very chilled-out hotel, Gilpin Hotel, or our hotel-come-country-house, Gilpin Lake House…
GILPIN HOTEL
Set in 21 acres, Gilpin Hotel has 30 bedrooms, two restaurants (the Michelin Starred SOURCE at Gilpin Hotel [renamed from HRiSHi] and the casual pan Asian Gilpin Spice), a Champagne Bar, lounge, terraces, spa treatment area – and our resident llamas and alpacas! Twenty two rooms have their own hot tubs, some also with a private ensuite spa. Please note these are all at Gilpin Hotel (not Gilpin Lake House), so if you’re wanting your own hot tub, the hotel is the place for you!
GILPIN LAKE HOUSE
Just a mile away from Gilpin Hotel you will find Gilpin Lake House, a sanctuary set on 100 acres of private grounds with its own private lake. With just 6 bedrooms sharing the boat house, spa treatment room, hot tubs, saunas, and swimming pool, this is a stunning private, incredibly tranquil paradise. Transport is provided to and from the main hotel if you are dining. Please note that the Lake House spa facilities are only available to guests staying at the Lake House.

PAMPER YOURSELF...
Whatever room you’re staying in, there is a spa trail or special spa experience just for you, whether with our gorgeous local Pure Lakes products, or the luxurious ESPA range.
Once again Chris worked with Sarah Jane Nielson and her team at Nielsen House, to create a calming and tranquil flow through the whole spa space, creating a sensory journey with naturally scented and textured wall coverings. The scents of the oils and the warm, rich woods welcome you into the apothecary-inspired reception, with hints of the spice trail in the restaurant below. The natural feel flows through with an open bright meadow scene leading to the cool dark impression of woodland in the textured treatment rooms, natural stones in the steam and shower rooms, and a light, calming relaxation room. Outside two hot tubs nestled in Garden Arwen, created with the roots and stumps which fell during Storm Arwen, different kinds of woodland grasses reflect a woodland floor, with woodland ferns to the north and sun-loving sedums to the south. We hope you enjoy the natural, sensory space.
