Gilpin Lake House offers a truly private retreat for exclusive events, set within 100 acres of grounds on the shores of Windermere. Run by the Cunliffe family since 1919, it combines just eight individually designed bedrooms with Relais & Châteaux-trained service and Michelin-starred dining, making it ideal for celebrations and gatherings that call for complete privacy.

Guests enjoy exclusive use of a heated indoor pool, sauna, hot tubs, and the treetop “Jetty Spa,” alongside acres of woodland, moorland, and lakeside walks to explore. Entirely gated and undisturbed, yet only 20 minutes from Oxenholme station, it gives hosts the rare combination of seclusion and accessibility, a place where every part of the estate, inside and out, belongs to you alone.
