Gilpin Hotel & Lake House, a 5‑star luxury hotel in Windermere and proud holder of Two Michelin Keys, is recruiting a full‑time Housekeeper to join our award‑winning team in the Lake District. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about creating beautiful spaces and delivering exceptional guest service.

Salary: £26,624 – £27,248 per year

Gratuities: £234 – £351 per month (average)

We’re looking for a meticulous, energetic, and friendly Housekeeper to help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across our stunning rooms, suites, and spa lodges. You’ll be part of a warm, supportive team that takes pride in creating a serene and spotless environment for our guests.

🛏️ Your Role as Housekeeper:

• Cleans and prepares guest rooms consistently to a five-star standard.
• Maintains immaculate public areas. 
• Manages laundry, linen and housekeeping stock with care.
• Reports maintenance issues promptly.
• Collaborates closely with the wider hotel team to support seamless guest experiences.

🧹 What You Bring

• Passion for cleanliness, presentation, and luxury hospitality.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management and communication.
• Experience in 4‑ or 5‑star housekeeping is beneficial, but full training is provided.
