Once again Chris worked with Sarah Jane Nielson and her team at Nielsen House, to create a calming and tranquil flow through the whole spa space, creating a sensory journey with naturally scented and textured wall coverings. The scents of the oils and the warm, rich woods welcome you into the apothecary-inspired reception, with hints of the spice trail in the restaurant below. The natural feel flows through with an open bright meadow scene leading to the cool dark impression of woodland in the textured treatment rooms, natural stones in the steam and shower rooms, and a light, calming relaxation room. Outside two hot tubs nestled in Garden Arwen, created with the roots and stumps which fell during Storm Arwen, different kinds of woodland grasses reflect a woodland floor, with woodland ferns to the north and sun-loving sedums to the south. We hope you enjoy the natural, sensory space.

As we are a couples spa, all our treatments take place in our dedicated couples’ treatment rooms. If you prefer a single treatment or separate treatment rooms, these are available at our Jetty Spa at the Lakehouse. Please advise us at the time of booking.

For optimal relaxation, we recommend that couples choose treatments of the same duration. This ensures you both can fully unwind together.

Terms & Conditions

Reservations – We strongly advise booking in advance to avoid any disappointment. You will receive a confirmation of your booking within 24 hours of booking, you will be responsible for reading and checking the confirmation to ensure all dates, times and other details are correct. Any cancellation or modification of booking made within 24 hours will be subject to our cancellation policy.

Arrival – We highly recommend that you arrive at the Spa at least 15 minutes before your treatment. This is so we can check you in for your treatment, ensure consultation forms are completed and so you can relax before your treatment. Late arrivals may result in a shorter treatment time being offered, this will still be charged at the full price.

Spa Facilities – Our spa facilities are only included with our spa trails, they are not included with treatment-only bookings. These facilities are available at an extra charge of £25pp, subject to availability. Please ensure you adhere to your facility booking time.

Pregnancy – We have specially designed Spa Treatments for expectant and nursing mothers. Please allow our Spa Team to guide you in selecting which treatments are most suitable for you during this special time. We do not recommend using Thermal Cabins or Hot Tubs during pregnancy. If you are in any doubt about having a treatment during your pregnancy, please ensure you check with your GP before making your reservation. Unfortunately, we do not offer any Spa treatments during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.

Consultation and Medical Information – You will be sent a consultation form along with your email confirmation, we ask that this is completed before arrival so any information can be noted and any adaptations can be made in advance. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the therapist is made aware of any current or previous medical conditions as it may be necessary to adapt or change your treatment. Depending on your health condition, we may request a letter from your GP advising us that the treatment is suitable.

Age Requirements – You must be 16 years or older to use the spa facilities and to have spa treatments.

What to wear – We advise you to wear swimwear, robes and slippers when booked in for our spa trails. We have lockers to store your clothes and belongings, however, there is limited space. Any valuables left in the spa or lockers are done at your own risk, so only bring necessities. The Spa cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage to personal belongings.  No outdoor footwear can be worn in our spa area, spa footwear will be provided on arrival.

Electronic devices – We would like to keep our spa a relaxing escape for all our guests, we ask that noise be kept at a minimum and we ask that all mobile phones be switched to silent when visiting our spa and refrain from taking phone calls where possible.

Smoking – Our spa and its surroundings are a non-smoking area, this includes vaping and electronic cigarettes.

Cancellation Policy – We hold a 48-hour cancellation policy. Any treatments cancelled or dates modified within 48 hrs are fully chargeable. Any missed appointments or late arrivals are also fully chargeable.

Prices – Please note we reserve the right to raise prices or modify treatments without notice. All information is correct at the time of printing.

In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your Spa experience please raise any concerns immediately so that we may be allowed to resolve them before you leave the Spa.
